It Goes Without Saying: We Are Just Getting Started

*This is not a perfectly edited transcript*

Welcome, welcome everybody to It Goes Without Saying Podcast. I am Cassidy, part time student, part time nanny, part time DJ, part time fitness instructor and full time human trying to figure out this thing we call life. For the last nine years of my life, I have been battling chronic Lyme disease on top of a couple other autoimmune diseases, throw in some depression and anxiety, and it's a wonder I'm still single. Needless to say I've been through a lot over the last nine years. And I like to think that I've learned a few things along the way. I'm not saying I have all the answers. But I'm here to share what I've learned, share what I've gone through, and hopefully maybe we can learn a little bit together. Here at It Goes Without Saying we're going to talk about it all. From Lyme, endometriosis movies, books, money, nutrition, fitness, constipation. Yeah, that's right. I said constipation. We're going to talk about it all. Before we get started. I wanted to promise you guys a few things. Number one, I promise to always be authentic. I pride myself on always being honest, in my journey. I've done it for the last nine years of my Lyme journey on my blog, and I don't plan on changing that. Now. I'm tired of the society we live in telling those of us that are sick that we have to pretend to be okay that we have to say, "Oh, I'm fine" when really, I want to curl up in a ball and cry. So I promise to talk about the nitty gritty, this podcast will talk about the good, the bad and the ugly, because that's what life is. I promise to always listen and to support you guys. This journey of life can be awfully lonely, throw in some chronic illnesses and a freakin pandemic on top of it, and you've hit the jackpot. I promise to always be here to listen and to support you guys. This isn't just about me. It's about you. It's about all of us. For those of you that live life with a chronic illness every day, my hope is that this place is where you can come to know that you are seen what you are feeling is validated and you have support here and for those of you that don't live that life with us, I hope that you still can see and feel what we are going through so that you are better equipped to support us out there. Lastly, I promise you guys that we are going to laugh. We're probably going to cry. I'm definitely going to sing. I'm sorry for it now we're probably going to dance but most definitely we are here to learn and to grow. So follow along it goes without saying that we are just getting started.
